Call to Artists: Body+Form Art Show | Submissions due Friday, February 6, 2015

We continue to broaden the scope of our traditional February show to focus on studies of the body as form. This can be interpreted to mean figure drawings, interpretations of the body, formal expressions inspired by the body, and other art that express the body as a sensual and psychological subject. Erotic art is still allowed to be submitted.

If you would like to submit artwork for the show, please use this form or scroll down to submit online. Submissions are due by Friday, February 6, at 12:00 PM. You may submit the actual piece(s) to Jeff Adams, at the Schoolhouse on Mondays and Wednesdays from Noon to 5 pm. Please call ahead to arrange a submission at (530) 265-2826.

You will be notified of what pieces are accepted by 8 PM on Monday, February 9. If your work is accepted, you will need to bring it to the Schoolhouse by Wednesday, February 11, or arrange for another time. There will be a closing reception on Sunday, March 29, from 5 to 8 PM.

Artists will have the option to have their work be for sale. Please submit a price for your work that includes current state sales tax of 7.625%. The North Columbia Schoolhouse charges a commission of 15% prior to sales tax being calculated.

Limit four submissions per person. There is space for large (i.e. 10′ x 10′) paintings. Sculpture and other multi-media work is allowed although space is limited for free-standing work.
