We strive to uphold the long tradition of community service begun 151 years ago when our building was founded as a one-room schoolhouse to serve the local mining community.

We offer our space at an affordable cost to the community and encourage folks to rent the space for classes, private parties, weddings, and community events. Schoolhouse Members receive a discount on venue rentals.

Rental rates are $20/hour
Sunday-Thursday*

Teachers must have separate liability insurance.

*No ongoing classes are permitted on Friday or Saturday. Classes may occasionally be pre-empted by NCSCC events with a minimum of two weeks notice by the Director.

BOOK A WEDDING

The Schoolhouse is available to host weddings! Many couples have enjoyed holding their ceremony under the towering pine trees. Our lovely grounds and building provide a unique setting for both weddings and receptions.

We have an outdoor amphitheater, with a stage and benches, that seats hundreds. Our space inside the historic building can accommodate up to 200 people. There are two restrooms in the building.

Additionally, we have a back studio room that can be used as a green room, staging area for caterers, or a dressing room.
